Privacy Policy

This is a plain-language explanation of what information we collect when you use this site, how we use it, and the choices you have. If anything here is unclear, email us and we will explain.

Last updated July 2026.

What we collect

We collect only what we need to respond to you and run the site.

Information you give us. When you fill out our contact form, subscribe, or download a resource, we collect the details you enter, which may include your name, email address, phone number, and any message you write.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we log basic technical data such as your IP address, browser and device type, the page you came from, and the pages you view. When you submit a form we also record the page it came from and any campaign parameters in the link, so we know which content brought you in.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information, and we ask that you do not send it to us through the site.

How we use it

To reply to your inquiries and provide the resources you request, such as emailing you a download link.

To send communications you have opted into, such as updates about our work. You can unsubscribe at any time.

To understand how the site is used and who is engaging with our work, using the analytics and visitor-identification services described below, so we can improve the site and follow up about relevant business opportunities.

To keep the site secure, prevent abuse, and meet our legal and accounting obligations.

How we share it

We do not sell your personal information for money, and we do not use it to serve you advertising.

We do rely on a small set of trusted service providers to operate the site and run our business: hosting and infrastructure, our database, transactional email, website analytics, and a business visitor-identification service, plus internal tools that route new inquiries to our team. These providers either process data on our behalf, or, in the case of analytics and visitor identification, collect it through our site under their own privacy terms.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.

Cookies, analytics, and visitor identification

We use a small number of cookies. Some are strictly necessary for the site to function. Others support the analytics and returning-visitor features described here. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the site remains usable, though some conveniences may not work as intended.

Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand, in aggregate, how people find and use the site, such as which pages are read and how visitors move through them. Google Analytics sets cookies and processes usage data such as your approximate location, device and browser type, and the pages you view, acting as our service provider. You can opt out using Google's browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, or by blocking cookies.

Returning visitors. When you submit a form, we set a first-party cookie so we can recognize a returning visitor and count how many times you have visited, and we store a one-way hashed version of your email so we can tell a returning contact from a new one. This gives context to our own team. We do not use it to build an advertising profile.

Visitor identification. We use a third-party visitor-identification service that helps us recognize the businesses, and in some cases the individual professionals, visiting our site, using its own data, even if you have not filled out a form. This may include a name, professional email address, company, and public professional profile. We use it to understand who is interested in our work and to follow up about relevant business opportunities, and it is focused on visitors in the United States. If you would prefer that we not identify or contact you this way, email hello@generativelabs.com and we will honor that.

How long we keep it

We keep your information only as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected, to maintain our records, or to meet legal obligations, after which we delete or anonymize it.

Your choices and rights

You can unsubscribe from any communication using the link in the message, or by emailing us.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to object to certain uses. To make a request, email hello@generativelabs.com and we will respond within a reasonable time.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and careful handling of secrets. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your data safe.

International visitors and children

Generative Labs is based in the United States, and your information is processed here. If you visit from outside the US, you are sending your information to the US.

The site is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the date below, and significant changes will be reflected on this page.
